A little insight into Cognitive Hypnotherapy
Cognitive Hypnotherapy is a modern approach, geared to helping people get the results they want in therapy.
It combines the use of the every day nature of trance, the latest understandings of how the brain works and ideas from a form of communication psychology called Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) to create an approach that is powerful and dynamic and can achieve amazing results often in a short space of time.
A little light on a Cognitive Hypnotherapy session
Everyone is different so there is no typical cognitive hypnotherapy session. The main thing to know is that the session is yours…. for you.. and about you. I am a “tour guide”, if you like, offering a choice of pathways that may best support you in accessing the best places for experiencing the life you want for yourself.
I believe that everyone deserves to be acknowledged fully, and in this environment great healing can occur at the deepest level. It is my intention to create a safe space for you, my client, to make the changes you want for yourself.
Hypnosis is just a state of deep relaxation, you will be aware of all that is shared. It is not like an anaesthetic, where you go to sleep and wake up fixed! It is an active collaboration, a “waking up” to oneself, bringing you to a place of choice. Sometimes it doesn’t even involve you closing your eyes for more than a few seconds.
Acknowledging anything that may be troubling to your mind or heart provides the opportunity for you to create change in that area.
